hi guys

right I currently play a pair of 12" zildjian re-mix hats, and zildjian a custom crashes. my splashes and chinas are un-important right now, I already know a couple of new saludas are the answer there.

I basically need a new ride. I want something that sits well with the hats. so I want it to be soft-ish, with a nice dark complex warm wash, with even a warm wash when sticked aswell as when struck on its edge. I'm not into high pitched pingy tones, so this is where it needs to match the hats, nice and defined, but not too pingy, again darker if you will. But heres the sticky bit, I like a nice loud clear bright bell sound!

does such a cymbal exist? any suggestions?

Mr Saluda, do you have an answer? a cymbal? or could you construct one?

my band are getting a good buzz at the minute, and its time my cymbals stepped up their game and gave me the uniqueness I crave! I have a snare on its way from our friend Francis at FVF which you will all see in due course!

ideas please guys!

Dare I say that Zildjian probably has some nice rides that would go well with your hats & crashes. From what you are describing, I would look into the Zildjian K's.

Give Jamie @ Saluda a run down of what you want your ride to sound like and he'll get it to you.
