These are great sounding cymbals! Very clean pingy rides with true tones and no wash at all!

KILLER!

Thanks for the perfect cymbals! Just what I was looking for... 8)

I'm always confused by the word 'wash.' Does that mean the buildup of sound that underlies the notes played? So does 'no wash' kinda mean 'dry'? Cause I'm looking for that kind of sound in a smaller (than my 22"0 ride with akiller bell.

Yes to both of your questions. "Wash" is less stick definition and more cymbal build up/overtones. Usually associated with thinner ride cymbals. An exaggerated example is "riding" on a crash cymbal (EG: Alex Van Halen). "Dry" is a much more pronounced stick definition with very little build up of overtones. These cymbals are thicker & heavier and the extreme ones are usually heavily hammered and unlathed. Are you looking for a "dry" sounding ride in a 20" size?

(Sorry, I lost track of this thread)
Yeah! I'd like a 20" DRY ride with a good cut thru bell.

Get a Paiste Sig Heavy Dry ride. I have a 21". Sweet sounding cymbal and the bell does cut. These should do what you are looking for.

Hell, contact Saluda & see what they can offer you.

As Kanbasher says, try Saluda. I told him what I was after and he's doing his best to sort it out. Crazy8s would also confirm this I'm sure (see his review of the cymbal he won). I'm sure Jamie @ Saluda would sort you out just right.

A Dry Crisp...what kind of music do you play? Probably wouldn't cut as well as the Dry Heavy and would be a bit darker. BIN is a bit high. I still think my 1st option would be the Dry Heavy but it might work for you if you don't have to play in too high of a volume gig.

So if I want a brilliant finish cymbal I should get the SSX oris their any other models that are shiny? For some reason i like all my cymbals in brilliant finish.
