I have an idea to get more people involved in creating new topics for discussion. I propose that the only people eligible for the give aways are those who have started at least one new thread each month. It wouldn't count for this give away because I'm just now proposing it. What do you think of this? The reason I see this as important is because someone could register knowing theres gonna be prizes and then do nothing to participate in making this site the kick ass plase it will be. Please share your thoughts with us so we can make a decision as to how to run the give aways in the future. Thanks a ton to all of you who are making this a great place to come and hang with friends.

I agree with that in fact since the members area will give us who posted the most Ill put like a limit of at least 5 posts. But then it will turn into a big drumb posting session of nothing but poop icons. Hey that might not be so bad

I don't know about the number of posts being a good idea??? There are some of us who are new to this site but are into drum building, and we may not have a lot of reasons/questions for posting. I attempt to participate and offer input or suggestions where warranted. I'm not into littering the site with posts so that I can be elegible for the drawings.

Perhaps we can come up with other ideas that would allow the builders to benefit, and not the lurkers. Perhaps that might be an incentive for others to get into building ???

I agree, cuz the top poster thing would favor a55holes like myself...

Really, though, instead of the highest posters, just go above a certain amout (say 10 or 20, just to make sure the winner is involved in the forum), and make it more random, like the 100th member, 50th member, or 1st member (he he)...

Or you could actually make it more of a contest. ?You could request that everyone who wants to win write an essay, in 300 words or less describing why they should win.

PS- dont worry about me, i couldnt write my way out of a paper bag.

An essay ??? I'll be in that wet paper bag tryin like hell to write my way out for weeks :-[ How about a scavenger hunt? Make up rules that would take people all over the web trying to find clues. Then perhaps a drawing from the first 50 correct enteries. That could be a heck of a lot of fun :D

We're drummers, let's be creative ;)

We should have a poop contest. Who ever craps out the biggest log wins. We send them all to edog via fed ex priority overnite for his viewing pleasure.
