Cable Remote Hats.

I decided to put this in the cymbal section simply because it relates to hihats.

Have any of you experimented with or are currently using a cable drive remote as your primary hihat setup? I'm considering buying a short cable drive hihat to experiment with the Don Wynn, Bill Bruford concept.

I have heard that Pearls Eliminator remote hats are smoother than their regular hihat stand. I've heard that Dennis Chambers and Mike Mangini(he helped develop them) use them.
