Makes it a little less funny when you consider that Walt and Don wrote that song about a guy yearning about an incestuous relationship with his cousin.

No, that is not necessarily the case.

I am on the older side of the posters here, and while I am truly a Steely Dan fan over all, I do have to say that sometimes they were the biggest admirers of their work of anyone. I think this song (and subsequent letter, if in fact it is legit) represent a fairly sterling example.
