Taste of Chaos

went saturday to see the taste of chaos. good show for the most part. a couple of ****ty bands (Aiden, Recieving End of Sirens). but Deftones, Thrice, and As I Lay Dying ****ing owned the place, great performances. Deftones ended there set with like a 10 minute collage of a bunch of songs from there first cd all mixed together, made my night. it was a good time for the most part, especially when it rained for As I Lay Dying. it seemed to pump them up even more. some pics i took, in order:

RX queen (the street drum corps was on the tour, they joined the deftones on stage for this one to play the electronic beat in the background, see the pics i posted, it was awesome) :D

7 words/bored/minus blindfold/maybe nosebleed. they kept switching the songs up in that last song, and i was in such awe that they where switching them up so nicely, i don't really recall all the ones they played from adrenaline.

Man that looks like a good show...except for the whole Deftones thing. There'll be a whole bunch of flaming douche bags at the show for that sole reason. I wonder if that double bass kit was the one the As I Lay Dying drummer built with Truth? And what's with the triple bass Atreyu kit?

Don't know if I can bear to go to the show...on account of the whole not getting to play it thing ;) But it's cool because the winner of the "unsigned band" contest who beat us got signed to a multi-million dollar contract with a half-million dollar advance :rolleyes:

and i don't know what Truth was talking about. his kit was the same brown one he's had for a little while, from the NAMM show.
