Atreyu rocks live, but Hawthorne Heights blows up and down the street live. Kind of like Fall Out Boy. Great CD, great music, terrible live show...
What happened with Atreyu?

Well, I HATE Anberlin, so there's enough said there.
Atreyus sound was pretty messed up, you couldn't even hear one guitar for a while there, and there was something wrong with the vocal volume too. The singer said they haven't done a show in 4 months which was totally obvious, they were sloppy and were pretty weak as far as voice. They played a new song which wasn't bad, I'd have to make my judgement off of the album. All summed up, Atreyus set wasn't what I'd expect from them. Sloppy and pretty boring to be truthful, I just didn't feel it. The only good part was that the set that Truth Drums built brandon sounds awesome!
I seen HH before and they sucked so I didn't expect much from their set, and I was correct. Hawthorne Heights' singer sounded like crap which he admitted was due to a sinus infection. He was squeaky and wasn't really singing as much as he was talking out the songs (get it?) They too didn't seem as driven but in my opinion, put on a better set than Atreyu as far as music and sound. I was somewhat disappointed because SJC just built Hawthornes drummer a bad asss acrylic set, but he was on a DW last night.
All in all, it was a boring, and very rushed show. The bands seemed like they were being forced to play rather then enjoying it. Didn't seem to flow.
