this saturday past i saw a dub raggae band called satori. they are on mash down babylon records which is basically the same group of people going many different projects. check it out at www.mdbrecords.com they opened up for the "superband" which is members of Finch and The Rx Bandits (one of my favorite bands of all time to see live) playing covers. they played a few nirvana covers, karna police by radio head which was great and some beatles and zepellin. it was a cool performance but then it was like christmas! the members of finch left and the members of RXB stayed and played a few songs. they werent supposed to. it was the best surprise ever ( though i somewhat knew it was coming). such a great band you should go check them out. www.rxbandits.com
anyone have any similar experiences?

i went and seen Finch, who i love, last year with the RX bandits. if i wasnt such a huge enormous Finch fan, RX would have stolen the show. all my friends thought so, and i will admit, they were really really good. but i just love finch.:D

hmmm, about the closest experience i had was seeing the new bass player from incubus play the drums during vitamin. than jose ripped it so hardcore with his solo, i had goosebumps the rest of the night.

no experiences like yours though.

and whats the name of this supergroup? im curious to hear some.

they are called just that: the supergroup or superband. there seemed to be an inconsensus. haha. they dont have any recordings save a few videos that are floating around the internet. RXB is just SO incredibly aweosme live. it is inexplainable. they have this aura that just gets you moving and their songs are rarely JUST what is in their recordings. a few shows i've seen, they split a song in half and left only th ebassist on his bass and the drummer keeping constant while the other members all picked up sticks and a drum and had this AWESOME beat going then each member in turn left their drum and went back to their instrument. the beat faded out and then back into the song they were playing. they also just jam in the middle of alot of their songs. split em in half and jam in the middle. long songs but man so AWESOME.
