I was wondering if you can hook a module up to say a CD player and plug the headphones into it and hear the music and the module samples on the same headphones? If so how do I go doing it or is their some special thing I have to do? THe reason I ask I might buy a module and some triggers and hook them up to my acoustic kit to see what that sound like triggered and for soft playing to. THanks for the help in advance.
I used to do that with my older Roland TD7.
I'm not sure about other brands/models, but I would think it's a feature on most.

Oh ok thanks, What do u exactly do? DO you hook the module to the cd player or vise versa?

On the modules I have, TD7 and TD10 there is a 'Phones' output on each and a phones volume control knob on the TD10, and a tape player (can't recall if that's the exact name) input on each.

should work. You can also get some 1/8 to RCA and 1/4 to RCA adaptors at Radio Shack to help you do this.

On the TD-10 there is a input called "Mix In". Plug that into the headphone jack on your stereo. Then plug in your headphones on the module. You'll have the ability to adjust the mix in volume as well the overall volume. I'm pretty sure the TD-7 is setup the same way.
