What do i need

just toying with the idea of adding one or two electronic pads to my acoustic kit for some different snare sounds etc
just wondering what do i actually need to do this
some reccomended products would be good. preferably not too pricey as i only need one or two sounds

I had awesome success with a $15 remo practice pad and a $3 radio shack piezo. Do a search for how to wire it all up and you'll see how east it is.

Hypothetically, you could even glue a piezo to ANYTHING and it would work for triggering. glue it to a PVC pipe and cover it with some foam to make a tube-like trigger. Get creative.

You will need a module of course. I was using an Alesis D4 I got for $100, but if you only want a few samples you probably have a different and cheaper alternative.
