On the gig doing some R & D.
Note my "Tower of Power."
** From Bottom to Top **
12" Voodoo (Brilliant)
10" Smoke Stack: 10" Mist thin Splash/10" SSX China
8" Smoke Stack: 8" SSX Rock Splash/8" SSX China
Note: I alternate splashes with stacks. So I may use a 10" Mist Splash and an 8" SSX China by themselves.

Heart of the Smoke Stack: A Saluda SSX China in 8", 10" or 12".
It's profile allows many combinations.
Numerous sounds are possible from quick, dry and dirty, to explosive, to a splashy, gritty, chimelike effect.

hey Smoky...
I'm just curious...
do y'all ever play indoors? It always looks like you're set up in front of some strip mall somewhere... :-)

I gig at least once a month at Northwest Harley during the summer months.
The lighting is usually pretty good and most of the picture turn out ok.
**killer gig: Early hours, good payday and lot's of chicks in leather! **
BTW: The night before we played @ Little Creek Casino. I played hats, snare, kick, ride, and one crash....I was thinking of your past digs: "Smoke do you need all that stuff for the blues.............."
