Sabian cymbal cleaner leaving residue on cymbals?

The local music shop sold me Sabian cymbal cleaner and when I used it on my Avedis A's with traditonal finish, it left some residue. Overall it does not look good. What should I buy to use on these cymbals and help clean them up from the Sabian mess?

Forget all these commercial cymbal cleaners. Try Barkeeper's Friend. The cheapest and best thing to clean cymbals with.

well, you could have used zlidjian cymbal cleaner ;) it is probally because of the metal or bronze used in the cymbal, i forget i was talking to a guy yesterday who said that some cymbal cleaners work for diffrent kinds of cymbals depending on there metal or bronze or some kind of material. but bluesman barsoap and elbow wax is cheap to ;)

but, you have to rinse it well and maybe evey apply it twice to get rid of some of the streaks it will leave (in my experience)
I'm going for the "experienced" look now. Only cleaning if something spills or drops on them (we play outside)

I have used the Sabian cleaner on Zils, Sabians, Wuhans... will leave a film if not rinsed off.
I have a couple bottles of Trick cymbal cleaner I "scored" for a buck at a Guitar Center clearance that don't leave a film. {Better in my humble opinion}
I have not tried on my beloved Saludas yet.

I'm in the middle of a cymbal polishing and have been using Fantastik to get the residue off. Working great so far.....you might want to give it a try if all you need to do is get rid of the polish residue.

Ive been using the zildjian cymbal creme on my sabians, a customs, and k customs and it works the best. Trust me ive tried EVERYTHING currently out now ( wasted all my drum building money :( )
