I would like to know what equipement do I need to have a track play with my band live, lets say some electro-sounding drums .wav files made with fruityloop. I'm really new with this kind of electronic stuff but I saw a band recently (not ashlee simpson, thanks) using it and it sounded amazing. I'd just need a few things to pointed out so I can learn a bit more on my own. Thanks!

well yes for the click track, but as for the extra track, the crowd needs to hear it ! and how would i trigger it, directly from the laptop ?!

In my previous band, I played to a SEQUENCE. The sequence was programed into a Roland keyboard, which was MIDI'd into a Roland drum machine for a click track. I ran the keyboard into the PA & into a headphone amp, and the click track into the headphone amp. I was able to adjust the sequence volume & the click volume seperatly.

I also had a friend that did all his sequencing on a computer. He then put the sequence on MiniDisc on the LEFT channel, and the click track on the RIGHT channel. He then ran the LEFTt channel to the PA, LEFT & RIGHT to a headphone amp.
